Washington D.C. 16th Street Architecture

Exciting News! After 9 years and 26 different shoot dates, I am happy to report that I, along with my friend and fellow photographer Roy Sewall, have completed the project of shooting every architectural structure on 16th Street, N.W. in the District of Columbia. Our endeavor covers 6.5 miles of beautiful homes and buildings including more than 50 houses of worship and many embassies and hotels. The project begins at Blair Circle, the border line between Maryland and D.C., and terminates at H Street, N.W. on the north side of Lafayette Square in front of the White House. I am pleased to report that Roy and I have negotiated and signed an agreement with the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. to donate more than 1800 images to the Society. It will be the first all digitally produced collection that the society has accepted and will assist them in creating protocols for digital image collections acquired in the future. The images represent 16th street in the 21 Century and will be available for current and future scholars, residents and others who may seek to use these images I have placed a few images of our work in my Sixteenth Street photos Gallery. I hope you enjoy them.
